How many poets will be in the photo?
More than 200 poets will be invited. We won’t know how many of the invited will attend until a few days before the scheduled photo shoot day.
What will happen to the picture after it is taken?
It will be posted on this website and social media for the world to admire.
Can I have someone take a photo of the poets with my smartphone?
We understand that most people have a camera in their pocket. We hope you will honor this process and not take pictures of this event using your smartphone. We will have several photographers capturing behind-the-scenes pictures and videos.
Can I stand next to my friend in the photo?
Well, we’re all friends here, but be prepared for the photographer to move you to the best spot for the photo.
How long will it take to shoot the photo?
That depends on the promptness of the poets involved. If all the participants arrive early, we will take the photo as early as possible.
Will there be food?
There will be a food truck for you to buy food from.
Is there free parking?
No, but the photo shoot is on Sunday, in Cambridge, MA, and the parking meters will be turned off. The venue is also near the Lechmere subway stop. Is there a dress code?
No, but dress comfortably and understand that the photo will be taken outdoors (if the weather allows) in late June.
What happens if it rains?
The picture will be taken in the theater of the Multicultural Arts Center.
Where and when will the photo shoot take place?
The photoshoot will be held in the courtyard at the Multicultural Arts Center, 41 2nd Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02141, on June 29th, 2025, from 2 to 3 p.m.
